How to design social cards with text and local images
Social Preview Designer composes a new graphic from your headline, supporting text and optional local image. Choose a canvas and layout, adjust colours and typography, and inspect the live result before downloading it. The composition stays in browser memory; there is no image upload, remote font service, AI generation or automatic social publishing.

Social Preview Designer
Compose headlines and local imagery into downloadable social and article preview graphics.
What you can do
- Combine text and imagery using canvas, composition, colour and typeface controls rather than simply resizing an image.
- Fit or crop a supported local image and adjust its position within the composition.
- Download a real PNG or a self-contained SVG with embedded imagery and escaped text.
How to use this app
- 01Replace the example headline and supporting copy, select a canvas and composition, and optionally choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP image.
- 02Adjust colours, typeface, image fit and position. Inspect all text; shorten wording or change layout if the design cannot fit it readably.
- 03Download PNG or SVG and inspect the saved graphic. Add it to your article or social post separately, including suitable alternative text where supported.
Limits and privacy
- Image imports allow up to 12 MB, 24 megapixels and 8192 pixels per side. SVG and GIF imports are excluded; large accepted images are reduced locally.
- Standard canvas sizes are examples, not platform-compatibility guarantees. Colour contrast is a design aid, not certification. Navigation or reload clears the design.
Common questions
Should I download PNG or SVG?
PNG preserves the browser's local text rendering. SVG is a self-contained scalable graphic, but its text appearance can vary when another system substitutes fonts.
Will the app publish my card or update link previews?
No. Download the graphic and configure it in your publishing system. Social platforms decide how they fetch and display preview images.
Is Social Preview Designer free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free. Social Preview Designer runs in your browser with no account or payment details, and it never uses OnePassApps credits.
