How to create an HTML and plain-text email signature

Email Signature Builder helps you compose a small contact signature and transfer it into your mail client's settings. Edit the example details, choose a layout and check the rendered preview. The app produces formatted content, HTML source and plain text; it does not connect to your mailbox or send messages on your behalf.

Email Signature Builder

Create an HTML and plain-text email signature with mail-client setup examples.

What you can do

  • Choose a classic or accent-line layout and enter contact details, multiline addresses and closing text.
  • Copy the formatted signature, its HTML source or a plain-text version for different mail-client needs.
  • Download standalone HTML or TXT when clipboard access is unavailable, with desktop mail-client setup examples.

How to use this app

  1. Replace the example contact information with your own details. Enter website links as explicit HTTP or HTTPS addresses and choose a layout.
  2. Review the rendered signature, including links and line breaks. Choose the formatted copy, HTML source or plain-text action appropriate to your client.
  3. Open signature settings in Gmail, Outlook or Apple Mail and follow the provided example. Send a test message and inspect the received result.

Limits and privacy

  • Contact fields stay in tab memory and disappear on navigation or reload. There are no remote images, tracking pixels, mailbox connections or automatic installation.
  • Mail clients may rewrite HTML or apply their own styles. The examples help with setup but do not promise identical rendering in every client or message thread.

Common questions

Which copy option should I use?

Use formatted copy for editors that accept rich content, HTML source for systems that accept markup, and plain text for text-only signatures. Check your client's settings.

What if copying is blocked?

Download the HTML or TXT version and use it as a fallback. Clipboard access depends on the browser and its permissions.

Is Email Signature Builder free, and do I need an account?

Yes, it is free. Email Signature Builder runs in your browser with no account or payment details, and it never uses OnePassApps credits.
