How to build a CV and print or save a résumé as PDF
CV Builder turns your own contact details, profile, experience, education and skills into a printable résumé. Choose one of three templates and inspect the preview as you edit. The workflow runs in browser memory without an account or an upload. It does not generate qualifications, write with AI or assign an ATS score.

CV Builder
Build a résumé from your own details, choose a template, and print or save as PDF.
What you can do
- Add, edit and reorder experience and education entries, with empty sections left out of the printed document.
- Switch between Classic, Modern and Editorial templates while retaining the details you entered.
- Print or save a PDF, and export a versioned JSON copy when you need to resume editing later.
How to use this app
- 01Enter your name, contact information and the résumé sections you need. Use accurate dates, roles and qualifications from your own records.
- 02Choose a template, reorder entries and inspect the preview. Correct the field errors shown when a print attempt identifies missing or malformed details.
- 03Open Print and choose a printer or Save as PDF. Review pagination in print preview and export JSON separately to preserve an editable copy.
Limits and privacy
- There is no automatic storage or cross-device sync. Navigation or reload clears the current session unless you have exported an editable JSON backup.
- The templates use A4 defaults; other paper sizes depend on browser print settings. DOCX export, template customisation and hiring or ATS-performance guarantees are outside scope.
Common questions
Can I save an unfinished résumé?
Yes. JSON export preserves incomplete fields and entries. Import the file later and confirm replacement to restore editable details; printing has stricter validation.
Is the downloaded PDF editable in this builder?
The browser's PDF output is the finished document. Keep the separate JSON backup to continue editing in CV Builder.
Is CV Builder free, and do I need an account?
Yes, it is free. CV Builder runs in your browser with no account or payment details, and it never uses OnePassApps credits.
